Our last concert of 2024 was to mark the 80th anniversary of the departure and subsequent disappearance of Glenn Miller from this area (December 15 1944, RAF Twinwood)
It was held at the Queen Head Hotel, 2 Rushden Road, Milton Ernest, MK44 1RU on Sunday 15 December during the afternoon (from 2pm to 4pm)
Our entire programme was dedicated to tunes played by the Glenn Miller orchestra such as: Moonlight Serenade, Pennsylvania 65000, String of Pearls, Little Brown Jug, In the Mood, Tuxedo Junction, Serenade in Blue and many more.
Our two vocalists Anne and Tom also sang Glenn Miller classics such as: A Nightingale Sang, Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, Chatanooga Choo Choo, Story of a Starry Night, At Last, Stairway to the Stars and more.
